Arrive in Paro, where you’ll be welcomed by the Rayden Tours and Travels team. Transfer to your hotel and meet your tour guide for a briefing on the upcoming adventure. Spend the rest of the day exploring Paro town and acclimatizing to the altitude.
Day 2: Paro to Thimphu (Approx. 55 km)
Start your motorcycle journey with a scenic ride to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. En route, stop at Dochula Pass to admire panoramic views of the Himalayas and the 108 stupas. Continue riding to Thimphu and check into your hotel upon arrival. Explore Thimphu’s bustling streets, visit local markets, and discover cultural landmarks such as the Tashichho Dzong.
Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha (Approx. 77 km)
Depart from Thimphu and ride towards Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan. Visit the Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.Explore the charming town of Punakha and its surrounding countryside. Overnight stay in Punakha at a local guesthouse or hotel.
Day 4: Punakha to Trongsa (Approx. 142 km)
Leave Punakha behind and ride towards Trongsa, passing through picturesque valleys and mountain landscapes. Visit the Trongsa Dzong, one of the largest fortress-monasteries in Bhutan and an architectural marvel. Explore the quaint town of Trongsa and learn about its historical significance. Overnight stay in Trongsa at a local guesthouse or hotel.
Day 5: Trongsa to Bumthang (Approx. 68 km)
Continue your motorcycle journey to Bumthang, the spiritual heartland of Bhutan. Explore the Bumthang Valley and visit historic temples and monasteries, including Jakar Dzong and Jambay Lhakhang.Ride through picturesque landscapes and soak in the tranquility of the region.Overnight stay in Bumthang at a local guesthouse or hotel.
Day 6: Bumthang to Gangtey (Approx. 188 km)
Depart from Bumthang and ride towards Gangtey, located in the Phobjikha Valley. Visit the Gangtey Monastery, an ancient Buddhist monastery surrounded by pristine nature. Explore the Phobjikha Valley and its wetland area, known for being the winter habitat of the endangered, black-necked cranes.Overnight stay in Gangtey at a local guesthouse or hotel.
Day 7: Gangtey to Paro (Approx. 200 km)
Conclude your motorcycle expedition with a ride back to Paro. Visit the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang), perched on a cliffside high above the valley. Enjoy a farewell dinner in Paro, celebrating the end of an unforgettable journey. Overnight stay in Paro at a local guesthouse or hotel.
Day 8: Departure from Paro to Phuntsholing and Exit
Travel from Paro to Phuntsholing for your departure, bidding farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon with cherished memories of your motorcycle adventure with Rayden Tours and Travels.
